Hello and welcome to "Olive's Corner."

~A little about me: My name is Crystal and I've been sewing for 20 years. I have 3 children - a 15 year old son, a 12 year old daughter (olive), and a 5 year old son. I love to sew for my children, friends and selfishly myself.
I feel like my life is finally at a place where I can take the advice of my friends who have said "you could totally sale this on etsy." I opened the store 10 years ago - but soon after my oldest son was diagnosed with Autism. I had to put the store aside and focus on my sons need. It has truly been an adventure full of ups and downs. Now he is in high school and doing really well - so I feel it's now time to do something I have been dreaming of for over a decade and get my store up and running again.
I must admit it can be a little frightening to put your heart out on the line and hope people like what you do. I am very humbled and pleased by all the "favorites" I get from other Etsy fans. I am just as excited to see that someone likes my items as when one is purchased. When an item is purchased I love to know why they are buying the dress or shirt and who it is for. I love to know the story behind the sale. One dress was for a little girls 1st year pictures on the beach, another for a friends baby shower. I am glad that I can help add a little happiness to the world.

Currently I sale clothing for little girls as well as some cute stuffed animals. I see many beautiful dresses and shirts on etsy all the time. I love that each artist has their own unique style. I like simple lines and classic designs. My desire is to create items that can be worn to a nice event or a simple play date in the park, but always comfortable, wearable, and washable!!!

I have big dreams for my little store. I will be adding clothing in other sizes. I want to add items for boys as well - ties, shirts, overalls, who knows! I want to do simple cute toys , like my owl family. I even want to add a few items for mom - some things I've made for myself and my friends. As I mentioned before I love to find fabric at yards ales and thrift stores - I hope to add items made from these finds as well - they will be limited and pre-made, but hopefully the price tag will be a friendly one.
